Well it is my 8th month mark. Changes I see are; my locs are more defined, there seems to be very little bunching (or maybe I am being more careful) and I am ecstatic that I no longer have to band my locs together when I shampoo. I think it is because of the 4B type and because it was already use to locking. In other words, I think, because my hair was already natural and use to locking that it just carried on. I do not have half the frizzies that I had when I first started this set in July. Although looking at the pic below shows frizzies; so I guess it is in the eye of the beholder. To me, they are not very frizzy but to you they may be. :-) It is not all locked, the top & sides are very loose (probably because of the gray) but the locs in the back have stepped up and said I am locking. :-)

My routine is so simple. I shampoo once a month, spring is here and once a week shampoos are on the horizon, yah. I use Suave clarifying diluted with water basically half water half shampoo, shampooing once with the Suave and then shampooing with a natural soap bar I purchased on line. One of my bosses recently went to Tahiti he has been bringing back a Tahiti soap bar as gifts for the office. I looked up the soap on From Nature With Love it says: Monoi de Tahiti is an extraordinary oil for skin and hair care. It has been shown to penetrate and hydrate the skin rapidly and reduce trans-epidermal water loss. Use Monoi oil in creams, lotion, soap and experiment with it in all of your formulations. This bar of soap is made from this oil, so I will include it in my regime this weekend. I have two bars so hopefully if it is as good as this states it should last me awhile or at least until he goes back. ;-)
Well I have reti most of my hair, shampooed with the water/clarifying shampoo mixture and shampooed twice with the Monoi de Tahiti soap. Fabulous, my hair is so soft to the touch even after I have added oil and conditioner spritz. It is now Tuesday and my hair feels great. I believe the Monoi de Tahiti soap is a keeper.
I have concocted a conditioning lotion or spritz for my hair, I made so much of it I had to freeze it. So I am defrosting it and using as needed. I have a few different oils in it, some honey, some conditioners, sweet orange eo and lots of water. I have been using this to spritz my hair in the mornings after my shower. I then brush and or comb my hair style and I am good to go. My hair normally stays in the style that I shape it in, unless I sweat it out, for the entire day. I am really loving this length, it is so easy to care for. Because these are micro locs I can use a wide tooth comb to comb or arrange my locs. I found my wide tooth comb when I was taking down my first set. I kept it handy and started combing my locs a few months after I started this set. It is kind of cool using a comb without the snags & tugs of pain I use to associate with a comb any comb. So if any of you wonderful people with micro locs would like to try it out, go ahead, it shouldn't hurt one bit. :-)
I do hope I will get a better schedule with my blogging.
